Energy

I love this city. The buzz of the streets, the energy that comes from just standing on a corner, the concentration of so much talent and art in one location is just astounding. It really is quite fantastic.
I flew in just for a brief visit and met up with Jamie and Mariah.
It rained all of Saturday and we got soaked. Jamie says we should come to New York when it doesn't rain. Both times with her have been torrential downpours and we got drenched. So no pictures from the first day.
This was the second day. Dustin and I had just watched Mary Poppins at the Amsterdam theater, which is pretty much the best show I have ever seen. We are on our way to eat dessert at a fancy resturant.

WEEEEEEEE!!!
I still have it in me to get my entire body out of the water and go gliding across the water.
Sometimes I amaze myself.

A New Perspective

Sometimes when you have seen the same thing over and over again, you get confused and frustrated by the monotony. All you really need is a new perspective, so I discovered while shooting this past week. I didn't change. My eyes are still the same, my perspective has just been altered and I see things in a completely different way and light. It's almost like getting new eyes and it is very refreshing.

Answering a Call

You know when the phone rings, my stomach always does a little jump. For some reason, I always wonder why any one would ever call me, and it thrills me to know that someone does. This past weekend I answered a call, not of the telephone type, but of something bigger. I attended a conference in Boulder, Colorado hosted by Women's Adventure magazine for anyone interested in breaking into the magazine industry. They had photo editors and photographers speak and present their stories, knowledge, and ideas on what it takes to be in the business. Can I tell you that I have never been more overwhelmed and awed at the same time. Part of me is thinking there is no way that I could ever break into this industry. The people who presented thier work or knowledge seemed to be at the right place at the right time. Their life just seemed guided by some unknown hand to lead them to where they are right now. Then there is the dreamer inside of me that says I can. I think I will answer that call.

Welcome to E's Blog

As you can see, I am photographer. I draw with light. The photos I take at Disney are copyrighted by Disney, hence, what you see are my own work. This is a great place to make photographs. The purpose of this blog is to show a sample of my photography work. A more extensive portfolio is available upon request. Thanks for visiting.
